How much does Wediate Rentals cost in Indonesia?
A fixed IDR 600,000 fee per transaction, paid by the tenant at the time of deposit. No monthly fees, no percentage cuts.
Who can release the deposit?
Only the tenant, via their logged-in Wediate account. Email, WhatsApp, and verbal confirmations are not valid forms of release approval.
What if the villa or rental isn't as described?
Wediate holds your deposit until you approve release on the platform. If the property isn't as agreed when you arrive in Bali, simply don't approve — funds remain held with Wediate while the issue is resolved.
What if there's a flight cancellation or natural disaster?
Force majeure events (flight cancellations, volcanic activity, pandemic restrictions) are handled per the terms agreed between tenant and landlord. Where the agreement is silent, refundable funds are returned and non-refundable funds are treated accordingly.
What currency must the deposit be paid in?
IDR. If the tenant pays in another currency, any exchange and conversion costs are the tenant's responsibility. Confirm currency arrangements with the landlord before transferring.
Does Wediate work with NPWP or foreign passport holders?
Yes. Foreign nationals and short-term visitors can register, subject to identity verification. We accept passports and national identity cards as ID.
